Portable Electric Lamp cum LED Flasher

Here's the circuit of a portable type flasher uses 25W, 230V AC bulb and nine LEDs. The bulb and led's glows alternatively. The circuit includes a 555 timer based astable multivibrator which generates a square wave. This output drives the transistor bc547 to riger the gate of lamp controller triac.

The idea of flashing the led's and the lamp alternatively is very simple. When the transistor T1 conducts, the collector voltage drops so tuning off the leds. During this time triac BT136conducts and lamp glows. Similarly when T1 is off, led'd get forfard bias and lamp become off.

The flashing rate can be controlled by potentiometer VR1. Assemble the circuit on a common PCB and enclose within a suitable plastic cabinet. Also take care to avoid electic shock.
